I'm looking for a rather specific piece of hardware that I can't seem to find anywhere, so I'm wondering if some gurus here might know of a place I can get it. This is for a network I've been asked to design for a construction site, actually, where they need to transmit a lot of data (several high-def video feeds) over a wireless link between two fixed points (point-to-point, no other users on the network).
I need a 4x4 MIMO, 802.11ac, 5GHz, directional antenna with a gain in the range of 19 - 23 dBi (20 - 10 degrees beamwidth). Note that it's just 4x4 MIMO, not MU-MIMO (it's for a direct point-to-point backhaul link).
If it's not possible to get one of those, does anyone know if I could just use dual 2x2 MIMO antennas? I'm not sure how the intereference between the two would work.
Alternatively, is there another high-speed wireless backhaul system that you would recommend? I need to keep a relatively small form factor, and it's for a fairly short range at 200m, so I'm not looking to get into the big microwave dishes and such. My understanding is that 802.11ac with 4x4 can get up to 1.3 Gb/s (theoretical max), and that it will do fine over 200m with directional antennas on each end, so I'd be looking for an alternative with similar specs.
