Ever made a config change and immediately gone “oh no”?

I was deleting a vlan on a juniper switch today. Did a “show vlans”, deleted the vlan, show : compare, commit, show vlans.

Immediately heart started pumping as the show vlans command didn’t show any ports associated with any vlan. Checked interface config, vlans still in place. Realised that the output of ‘show vlans’ when in edit mode differs from user mode output.

Also same thing happened on Cisco with “show vlan” and “show vlans”

Anyone with another sinking heart moment?
