paging Satellite networkers/satellite literature?

For awhile now I've been interested in satellite communication. From time to see I see some posts inquiring about sat com for like an island or i venture into r/science and might see a few posts. But I'm curious to know how many operators in this sub actually config/manage/deploy satellite networking? How many nodes? how did you get into this field - is it worth it? How are you handling IGP/routing across them? things like that.

With thinks like the Deep Space Network (DSN) and all the buzz of the new Space x network I'd like to get into it this subject more.

Does anyone have any suggestions for literature to learn about satellite communication? I see there are tons of books on amazon but most of them do not have any reviews and they're fairly pricey (most in the $100+ range). I'm trying to avoid the books about building satellites which i noticed in 1 or 2 of the "systems" heavy titles and more on "networking" related satellite communications.

thanks in advance.
