Straight-Through: Used for dissimilar devices.
e.g. Router to hub, computer to switch
Crossover: Used for similar devices.
e.g. Router to Router, Computer to computer.
Why does a computer to a router fall use a crossover cable. Aren't they dissimilar devices (Theory only)?
In the real-world there will be Auto MDI-X/Auto translation going on.
