Hi all!
Im new to this sub and I hope you guys can help me :)
Situation:
We are moving our existing office to a new location where we can take and use the existing cat5 (100mbit) ethernet cables for free. We have about 60 employees. Most of them are using the computer in a "normal" way like using outlook, teams, onenote, onedrive and normal browsing. About 20 people are working only with SAP and other special tools which require a fast and stable network access.
My question is:
Can we (or is it wise) use the existing cat5 100mbit calbes for our network or do we need to upgrade them? Upgrading would cost us about 100k (which is too expensive for now) so we would need another cheaper solution like only upgrade the cables for the access points.
What do you guy think? Do you have a better idea?
Thanks for all comments and help!
Cheers :)
