I am seeing an insane amount of output errors and output drops on our C3850-24-XS with our users complaining of system dropouts mainly on VC/Teams. Edge switches are all connected at 10Gb but the uplink to the Internet FW is 1Gbps. We are nowhere near reaching the capacity of the 1Gbps FW interface but was wondering if the logic of 10Gbps traffic from the edge hitting the 1Gbps interface is causing the interface buffer to overflow even if it's not reaching its throughput capacity? a show int controller suggests drops are 'Excess Defer Frames'. The physical side has been checked to death.
Any logic or barking up the wrong tree?
