can speedtest.net give fake results

i currently have a subscription for 200Mbps fiber connection and the way they indicate that is by using speedtest.net whenever i do the test i get 200Mbps but then i realized that the server i was using was the company's own server so i decided i will change the server to another server on the same city that i am located and the speed dropped from 200Mbps to a maximum of 50Mbps.
i want to know if other people are having the same issue that i have? because it really started to effect me.
