Same vlan ids on multiple access switches with different subnets.

So I’ve run into a network design where there are multiple access switches with the same vlan id with different subnets. For example, floor 1 switch with vlan 10 - 10.1.1.0/24, floor 2 with vlan 10 - 10.2.1.0/24, floor 3 with vlan 10 - 10.3.1.0/24. What is the purpose for this design as I though best practice is to have a separate vlan id per subnet? Also what kinda issues will you run into with a design like this?
