I ordered another IP block in the Data Center. What to do next? New Data Center Technician

I am a new Data Center Technician. A customer wants a different public IP than other customers. I then contacted the Data Center and ordered a new IP Block.

Below is a message that I got from the Data Center Team:

The IP Engineering team has received your request for an additional network. Would you like this configured as a separate network with its own gateway or would you like it statically routed to your firewall/router?

1. How would I route this to the firewall?
2. Would any of this involve another physical connection from the switch to the firewall?
