Linux Bond Health Checks?

Maybe I'm attacking this the wrong way, but I'm setting up a hosting rack with 2 redundant WAN links, connected to two independent HP 2920 switches. Each server is connected to each switch, with a Linux bond (eno1+eno2) => bond0.

My issue; Any of the two switches may loose uplink at any time, but the bond won't switch from master to slave.

Do I need to create a watchdog that runs ifenslave and swaps master with slave unless it can ping 8.8.8.8 or something?
