I work for a small MSP and one of my clients is running out of DHCP In their/24 network, and asked that I increase it to a/23 network. They only have a small handful of statically configured IP addresses on devices such as printers and maybe a couple switches, here is my question: Is there any explicit need to do this scope increase after hours? If all I need to do is increase the sub net mask on a few devices there shouldn't really be any impact on the network right? Or is this a case of better safe than sorry?
