I have a device with the below specs. Currently its running "asa917-4-smp-k8.bin"
I am planning on upgrading this to "asa992-9-smp-k8.bin".
Hardware: ASA5525, 8192 MB RAM, CPU Lynnfield 2394 MHz, 1 CPU (4 cores) ASA: 4096 MB RAM, 1 CPU (1 core) Internal ATA Compact Flash, 8192MB BIOS Flash MX25L6445E @ 0xffbb0000, 8192KB
- According to the link, do I understand that I can directly upgrade , and don't need to go through an interim version? ie, from 9.1(7)4 to 9.9(2)9 ?

- The flash also has "asasfr-5500x-boot-5.4.0-763.img" , but when I do a " sh ver", it doesn't show the firepower detail. I compared this with another device which has the firepower image and the sh version shows the firepower version. Is it that the module is not activated? (I'm fairly new to ASA) Can I go ahead with the upgrade while ignoring this part?
