We have hundreds of branches that have ethernet-over-MPLS for WAN connectivity back to our Data Centers. At random times a random site reports a hard down event on the interface. We typically cycle the interface and brings it back up. I have not seen any relevant logging information nor documentation online that may explain the cause of this. Reporting this to the service provider results in nothing - because they can't see any issue. Have you all seen this or found the root cause?
