SDWAN Pricing

Our vendors are proposing SDWAN at a cost of about $170month (plus broadband connection) for 100Mpbs throughput. They would lease us the equipment and we have no option to buy. I told them I only wanted to buy it and they’re insisting its subscription based and claim most other solutions are as well. We are deploying 50 sites and they’re not really giving any volume discount. Again, they say it’s a subscription and I’m basically paying for a license and they take care of the hardware and support.

Few questions: *Is $170/month for 100Mb the going rate? *Is this lease model really the new trend? *Am I old fashion to think I should get a 10%+ discounts for 50 sites?

Feedback is appreciated. I hate managing vpn but I only pay $600 for the firewall once and $200 year for support and updates. Then again, being able to manage everything from a single console would be fantastic.
