Hey,
So near the end of this year - we want to move our data center from USA to CANADA. All of our 50 sites make a site to site VPN connection to the data center in USA and transfer about 4 gigs a day off hours for backups. (Our domain, fileserver etc... is also accessed)
Our vendor can help us restructure our network for the retail sites and SD-WAN/IP Point to Point/MPLS were all mentioned.
MPLS - I read its reliable at sending packets (We have VOIP at the location, hosted at the cloud (ring central)) so this is a +
The only downside seems to be cost
SD-WAN im a little confused on. Was wondering if any experts here have insight on the two technologies. (from more research I read its just combining two separate ISP lines)
Our main goal is to move our data center to Canada and our sites will be backing up to the data center. So I would like a reliable pipeline from site to data center. Or at least data center to head office as this is how our backups work
Sites backup to data center -> data center to head office -> head office to cloud provider.
