Could I re-use old 200um SMA fibres for Ethernet?

My workplace has a lot of redundant SMA 200um fibres running around the place that were used for transmitting RS-232. Running in new fibres is a pain because of access issues, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to re-use these for a more modern ethernet network?

If I can re-use these fibres then I might be able to implement a reasonably cheap upgrade to use allow the use of some more modern equipment around the factory. It seems that SMA 200um is pretty obsolete, I guess there must be some converters or patch panels available that'd let us convert these to a more modern connection like LC or ST? I appreciate the transmission speed would probably be fairly low, but that's not an issue for our intended use. I imagine re-terminating these fibres into a more modern connector probably isn't possible/viable.

Note: It's an industrial environment and we can't use WiFi, fml.
