basic networking guide

Hey guys, so I am a system admin wanting to learn some basic corporate networking, and I am reaching out to you guys to see if there is any direction you can point me so that I can figure out what I am trying to figure out.

So essentially I am wanting to be able to emulate my work's network. We have a L3 switches doing core routing that connects to a distribution switch which the goes to all of our L2 switches.

To recreate this I am needing to know how to: 1) configure inter-VLAN routing on the L3 switch 2) configure trunking from L2 to distro 3) configure VLANs on all the L2 switches

I have tried googling and searching but I keep getting super complex answers that I am in no desire to be taught (for right now), I am just looking for a quick guide on how to rebuild my work's network if I ever needed to.

To all of those who think I should learn all the complex stuff that I keep getting from my search results: I agree with you, I should learn them, but I want to have a foundation in this first. Then expand upon it.

So does anyone know of a place where I can find this quick-guide?

I would ask my networking team but they keep pushing me to the side...

Thanks!
