Looking to setup a very basic VPN backup for a fiber link. Was hoping to use Ubiquiti Edgemax ER-4 as a low lost option, something along the lines of this https://imgur.com/a/7TrMIlf any reason this would not work ? relying on STP to block the VPN link, unblocking only in the event of primary fiber link disruption.
Sure this is probably not best practice, but unfortunately on little to non existent budget to try and get some sort of redundancy for a single dark fiber link that is business critical. cheers!
