Studying for CCNA Security, during dynamic ARP inspection lesson the instructor mentioned clearing errdisabled ports with automatically with "errdisable recover cause [bpdu-guard,arp-inspection,etc]" then you can set a recovery in seconds. I've been doing networking 10 years, I've never heard of this command or anyone mention using it. Is this some common knowledge, or is this even recommended in practice? For me, if someone plugs an authorized switch in and shuts a port I want it to remain down until someone squawks.
