the language barrier isn't helping (although, you'd think since my last name is obviously Norwegian - my grandpa having been Norwegian - would be a help...it isn't. LOL)
My first time in 20+ years with a job that has overseas offices. we did have a helpdesk guy in UK (london) and aquired 2 locations in oslo and stockholm and he visited both and evidently was QUITE the BS artist.
Despite his last week being with the company he was dispatched to oslo to clean up rack mess he left and move an AP, he bunged that up too. doesn't help those 2 offices are a bit....assholy. they are actively trying to argue not to allow company's IT dept do their IT. I can't even.
so despite me telling UK helpdesk guy he wasn't allowed to bail out and go to bar at 4pm (his time) and needed to walk the very small office floor and test wifi within an inch of his life, he moved a single AP and bailed.
so he doesn't work here anymore.
Now I'm getting complaints again from these guys about wifi (because they all need 3 computers and atleast 2 personal mobile devices. seriously this office has 20 bodies and 60 leases on DHCP. wtf?)
until we hire a decent UK body, I'm probably going to need to contract someone out to move AP and test but i'm not finding much when googling.
Anyone have any recommendations finding someone in the neighborhood?
I have passport and would travel but i'm mid complete network replacement here in the states and a single mom, plus company is being weird about sending folks from USA to overseas but not vice versa. Otherwise i'd board a plane and head over myself.
