IPv6 Proxies: RFC 1027 says proxy arp should NOT reply if src and dst are in physical network. But some firewalls does this to protect servers. Can some one clarify pls.

RFC 1027 says proxy arp should NOT reply if src and dst are in physical network. But some firewalls does this to protect servers. Can some one clarify pls.
