I have a Fluke LRAT-2000, that I was using for network testing (e.g. testing Ethernet cables for wiring issues, testing for LAN connectivity, testing for 802.1x issues etc.)
I recently upgraded to a OneTouch AT G2 (with Gigabit Ethernet and Wifi testing).
However, it turns out I need to test 10GBase-LR etc. (i.e. I need a SFP+ port).
I can get the 10G module for the OneTouch AT, but it's quite expensive.
However, for a little bit more, I'm thinking I can get the Optiview XG.
For anybody that's used both - what are the pros/cons of the Onetouch AT G2 vs the Optivew XG?
Is the OptiView XG definitely an upgrade in every way?
Any reasons not to get it?
(I know the OptiView XG apparently doesn't so POE/POE+ testing - so I'm guessing I'll still need to keep my LRAT-2000 for that, right?)
(If you were really baller, you can get two OptiView XG's for testing 10Gbit throughput - but yeah, we don't have that budget).
