Multi-vendor network performance monitoring and management software

Hello World!

I'll cut straight to it. I'm a pre-sales engineer currently working on many, many customer projects. One of which is multi-vendor. I'm not going to name vendors as I don't think it's relevant but there are three vendors, one for the core, one for the edge and one for WLAN. There is no deviation from this - this is what the customer has asked for (i've told them how simpler it could be), no amount of me telling them how much of a bad idea this is has influenced there decision.

However, the requirement calls for a *single* piece of software that can monitor and management the entire infrastructure (around 100 devices incl 40-60 AP's). My problem isn't finding a tool that will let me 'manage' all of the devices from one web interface, my problem is in finding a tool that can monitor, fault manage, reporting SNMP stats, supports IPv6, trending and capacity planning and also inventory management. Oh, it also needs to be able to configure QoS, VLANs and User Access, as well as performing software updates all through this single piece of software.

Did I mention that all of the infrastructure is all physical and on-prem? Well it is. And we only have 4GB RAM and around 96GB usable disk space on some tin that we can seat the software on.

Is my naivety getting the better of me? I just dont think this is possible and we'll likely have to go down the 'suite' of individual vendor management platforms. I need someone else to slap me across the face and tell me this is not do-able... whilst handing me some scotch to drink away the migraines this is causing me.

I've looked in to solarwinds and riverbed so far but these both miss out on the mark of software updates and/or config change management.

Please.. send help.. Is there such a thing out there that can do all of this?! I'm hoping the answer is 'No'.

Appreciate any replies!
