Cisco routers - 4000 series - changing negotiation and duplex from remote connection

Dears, I've run into an issue and I'm looking for help.

I need to configure from remote connection (via telnet) the interface negotiation and duplex, without the help of a local technician that can provide me a Teamviewer session or any support at all.

configuration is pretty simple:

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0 no negotiation auto speed 100 duplex full

Of course, trying to apply the no negotiation auto command will drop the connection and the router will be unreachable.

Is there a way to delay this configuration on the router or to apply it directly to the start-up config without touching the running config, and then reload?
