To start using it you need to download the dm launcher. Usually you'll be prompted to install java runtime and if that doesn't work you'll be troubleshooting java + asdm image etc... all day long,
I don't bother any more, just change the management machine and hope it works,
Why isn't browser based like Palo Alto? Is it a legacy way to do it from PIX?
p.s. I never use the GUI but the cisco exams have questions like "where would you click to add a new group?"
