I'm looking for a way to monitor and filter the internet at my work place. I'm looking for a box I can plug in between the cable modem and the network switch/gateway.
Were wanting to monitor and filter website and smartphone apps. By Mac address is alright for wireless connections, but IP address would be awesome as were all on static for our internal hard-wire network. It's been about 15 years since I had to do anything like this. Free software is a place is the documentation is good. Linux Rookie here.
