BGP advertising a V6 default route as link local instead of the global p2p address

This is for IOS-XR devices

I have an eBGP peer in which the one router sends a default v6 route via the default-originate command. The receiving AR is seeing the default route but as a link-local address and not the global address.

I've been scratching my head over this for a while now and can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated
