We currently have a NAS connected to a 48 port switch through 4x bonded 1G connections. We're about to deploy a 10G network but would like to keep that existing switch if possible since it's given us zero problems over the years and I hate the idea of touching something that's working so well. The idea though of using 4x 10G ports in 1G mode to connect our 10G switch to the old switch is also rather painful.
Is there such a thing as like a micro-router which takes in a single 10G SFP+ and outputs multiple RJ45 bonded connections? Or are we just idiots if we don't trade out for a new 48 port switch with a 10G uplink?
