Layoff in the forecast, need your suggestion on my next step...

I have been a Network/System Administrator on Windows/Cisco/VMWare systems for some ten years before I joined Company X in 2012. I found out recently, my job role will disappear in a year, as we are moving to Meraki and management made the decision to be handle the Meraki system by the Service Desk and one Sr. Network Engineer. The last six years, I was part of three persons team handling mainly Cisco routers/switches/ASAs

I take it as a wake up call and I am starting to get ready for my layoff (lol)

I renewed my CCNA in 2015 (after ten years) and got another CCNA in Security in 2017. I am scheduled to take my 300-115 in two weeks time and have an active INE subscription through my work and this Black Friday I got myself a one year LinuxAcademy subscription.

I am planning to go for RHCA and then RHCE, and enter the Python/Ansible world; but would like to get a second opinion as I was detached for the last few years building and maintaining Company X’s network.

I am in my early 40s and live in the Bay Area, and would like to be ready for the local networking market in a year time

Thanks
