Some of you have responded to my original post and I am thankful for it.
I put in my notice and my company counter-offered, now I am in a dilemma. My company has offered me a promotion with a 45% pay increase and a new job title as a network engineer. The new company I am starting with is less money but has more technology for me to get my hands on, including cloud computing which is the future.
I guess my question to you kind strangers is what would you do? Take the job with more money, and still become a network engineer. or take the job that pays less and will give you more experience?
The new job pays the same as what I am currently making, but is 45% less then what the promotion offers.
either I make 45% more and gain hands-on experience as a network engineer, or I make the same as I am now and gain hands-on experience as a cloud/network engineer. Keep in mind cloud engineering is the future while on premiss R&S is not.
Please help.
Thank You!!!
