Fellow VAR/MSP dudes, what is your procedure for building a wireless BoM? Generally speaking, we always perform an on-site wireless survey before providing recommendations. While I’m a proponent of the survey, sometimes we spend days surveying a site only for the solution to not be purchased.
My long winded question is: is there some type of middle ground to say, “based on our experience you’ll likely need approximately X APs, but a survey is required for an exact count” or is the onsite survey just the cost of doing business?
