We have been having issues at my work (recently hired) where our VoIP Polycom phones have unregistered periodically, every two or three weeks or so. The way to get them to register is to reboot, but sometimes clearing the DHCP pool helps when rebooting doesn't work. My boss said that there was a problem with devices having stale IPs "in the past". Issue occurred again, I had to clear the DHCP pool as rebooting did nothing. Since it seems to be related to the IP, I had wondered what the lease length is for DHCP. Apparently, there isn't one. Could a lack of any established lease length lead to these issues? Has anyone seen this in the past?
