I would like to find out if anyone with first hand experience can answer this question.
I plan to run a short 25m Cat5e CCA cable with a 24V 0.5A ubiquiti POE injector to power a Ubiquiti nanostation Loco. Is this a bad idea?
Most internet sources immediately shut down CCA cable (for POE and in general) however I have yet to find someone who has actually tried and use CCA for POE purposes and shared their experience. On paper this short distance should be fine on CCA, but has anyone had PERSONAL experience with such matters before? (i.e. Please do not say anything about why CCA doesn't meet some regulations or corrodes etc)
Thanks
