I bought a netgear router, ac1750, less than a year ago. It stopped working a few days ago.
I just spent over three hours of the phone with netgear to get a warranty replacement. I had to call twice, the second tech had to escalate the call before they could confirm I had already ran all the troubleshooting steps (many of which were asinine), and then in the end they tried to make me pay shipping to have the defective unit returned to them before they would ship me a replacement.
I finally got them to ship me a replacement, but I have to ship the old one back within 7 days or they're going to charge my card for the full cost of the replacement. Shipping will be at least a week to get here.
Seriously, fuck you Netgear.
