Should the gateway switch be at .1 and MDF switch be at .2 and the IDF start at .10, .20, .30? Or should the MDF switch start at .10 and attached IDF’s be .20, .30 and so on? What is the proper IP scheme for MDF/IDF closets?
I have some sites that are .1 for gateway then .2 for MDF and .10 for IDF. Other sites are .1 for gateway then .10 for MDF and .20 for IDf. And then I have another site that is .10 for gateway, .11 for MDF and .20 for IDF. I want to make them all uniform but I am not sure what the best practice is for this.
