Say I have a network 10.10.100.0/24 which needs to be routed over a WAN, theres an IP route set for 10.0.0.0 /8 to the next hop. How does this work? I know a lot about switching, vlans, trunks, etc but I hardly ever get to set routes in my career and this is bugging me that I don't understand it.
