Hey guys. SO yeah, I've got my hands on a DL380 G10 server with a built-in riser card that has the two M.2 slots (part number 877946-001). Problem is, it won't detect a brand new Samsung 970 Pro. Just to be sure that it wasn't a bad SSD, I put in a second SSD. I also tried the port on the rear. Nothing. Now I'm stumped. Could this be an M.2 port that doesn't support NVMe?
I *think* there is a power port on this riser card, it looks like a power connector. It's not connected or anything, so it only gets power from the backplane. Could this be an issue? Or is my initial hunch right? Or is it a restriction against non-HP parts? Halp please!
