Connecting two geographically separate offices

I've been re-evaluating some options for connecting two offices, and wanted to get some expert opinion. Most site-to-site connections I've set up for smaller businesses has been over VPN. I have used Comcast private Ethernet. I'm trying to connect an office in Oregon to one in California and I'm not even sure what the best options are these days.

According to this post https://www.networkworld.com/article/2222196/cisco-subnet/why-does-mpls-cost-so-much-more-than-internet-connectivity-.html MPLS providers are AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. Is that an accurate list of companies I should contact to get pricing on a private WAN connection?

Is there another option that I'm not aware of that I should investigate? We are comparing the option of installing servers on site to handle CAD drawings, and I was trying to find out if there was a high throughput alternative to hosting hardware onsite.
