SMB Network Help - AT&T Uverse w/ Voice

Hello, I am looking for some guidance on a small business network. I am adding Ubiquiti hardware for Firewall/Router and WiFi. Network needs are average but my question is with the AT&T.

I have configured plenty of modem/gateway/voice to use dedicated router/firewall and AP. AT&T is telling me, however, that here I can not truly bridge the gateway so now I am second guessing. Setup is Uverse Modem w/ Internet and 2 x VoIP and then a second device - AT&T 250IAD - for an additional 2 x Voice lines. The IAD appears to only need a LAN connection from the Modem's built in switch however AT&T has told me the IAD will not work unless plugged directly into the Uverse device for LAN. I was instructed to log into the Gateway, disable only the WiFi and then I can add my own devices.

Currently Uverse Arris NVG589 Gateway takes DSL in for WAN, 2 x Voice Out, and LAN Out. 1 LAN out goes over to AT&T 250AE IAD LAN In (Not WAN) and activates an additional 2 lines.

My expectation is that I can disable firewall, wifi, everything on the gateway and just hand the WAN over to the Ubiquiti equipment. I am implementing a Ubiquiti USG, Ubiquiti 8 Port Unifi Switch, and AP-AC-LR. I would still use the Gateway for Lines 1 and 2, and then connect the IAD to the Ubiquiti switch for lines 3 and 4. Has anyone successfully implemented their own network infrastructure with Uverse Internet and Voice x 4 lines?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
