Hello all, I was wondering about the question in the title. I have been googling it and have found many answers that involve deep packet inspection to prevent anyone from using http proxies, ssh tunnels, etc.
I guess my question is why do we need to resort to this? My understanding is that the tor browser comes with a built-in list of the directory node IPs that a client must first connect to in order to access the tor network. So if we block these directory nodes we effectively prevent someone from accessing Tor, right?
