Hi,
VM have begun installing there FTTC in my area, which means I can finally get off of ADSL! However I have been reading up about the notoriously shit Superhub 3 and how for a lot of people it is causing extremely high latency which is a big issue for me! I have read up about Modem only mode, I use all my own kit for BT, BUT I was wondering if I could use my own DOCSIS 3.0 modem by changing its MAC address to be the same as the one on the Superhub 3. I have only seen this method mentioned once on the VM forums and they weren't sure if it would or would not work. I have never actually been hands on with a SH3 and was wondering if VM actually make an effort to hide the MA? I know on most routers it can either be found on the back with the default u/P, in the WEB UI or both.
If anyone could shed some light, that would be great!!
Jamie.
